Friendly clouds, rainbows and mushrooms have travelled overseas to Hong Kong! After the Mid-Autumn Festival, they have come to take a break at the Art Park, West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD), and will greet the public starting from today (23 Sep). These lively characters are the creation of international pop art duo “FriendsWithYou”, Samuel Borkson (Florida, USA) and Arturo Sandoval III (Cuba).
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) earlier rolled out a new “Hong Kong Neighbourhoods” – “West Kowloon” programme to encourage the public to rediscover West Kowloon from a new perspective of art and culture. Besides the thematic walking tours in the neighbourhood, the HKTB also worked with FriendsWithYou to bring the mega-sized art installations to the city.
The characters have been transformed into 12 giant inflatable sculptures, which will greet the public in Art Park, WKCD for 3 consecutive weeks, starting from today, offering visitors plenty of photo opportunities. A number of mysterious mascots will also pop in from time to time. Try your luck at catching them in Art Park!

Another selfie spot not to be missed is the “Smiling Hong Kong Space Museum”. The signature smile from FriendsWithYou on the Museum’s egg-shaped wall brims with positivity and cheers up visitors.
